2017 Sea Duck Season So Far!

Maine Eiders!
Our 2017 Maine Sea Duck season has been awesome! We are more than halfway through the season and our clients are bagging many, many trophy birds for their walls!
Clients are gunning limits of birds, or at very least having an opportunity to bag limits, on virtually every outing with us. We have not seen numbers of Eiders and Long-Tailed Ducks (Oldsquaw) like this in a while. It appears that the new harvest regulations and improved food sources have had a positive impact on our Maine Sea Duck populations.
We have met some great clients from all over the country who we now call friends. Most have bagged all the bird species they desired and have had their fill of our local lobster and shellfish during their stay with us. We are pleased that our friends at Snow Island Oysters have been kind enough to supply us with some raw Maine Oysters to enjoy on the half-shell with a few of our clients after the hunt. It’s been quite a treat!
We hope for continued success during the remainder of the season. If the latter portion of the season is merely half as good as the first part, we’ll have lots of happy waterfowlers aboard!
If you have been considering a guided Maine Sea Duck hunt with us, please be sure to contact us early as we have booked up to capacity for the past several seasons. An early booking ensures good hunting dates with favorable tide conditions.
Happy hunting!
